Job description

Job Title: Cape Cod League Scouting Contributor
Start Date: 6/13
End Date: 8/2
Flexible on Dates
Paid Position
Housing/Local Required
Requirements
- General knowledge of baseball and scouting terms/vernacular
- General knowledge of the layout of the area and where specific home venues are located
- General knowledge of the Cape Cod League in terms of players on specific teams, start/end dates, start dates for games, etc.
- Comfortable watching and evaluating baseball players
Primary Duties
- Writing scouting reports/breakdowns of prospects
- Ability to see and evaluate assigned prospects as well as prospects who were not initially assigned but have impressed over the course of game action/workouts
- Write weekly articles for PG website
- Post video content onto PG social channels
- Video will concern all facets of games (i.e. hitting, pitching, fielding, batting practice, etc.)
- Be able to determine which angles make for best video content and reasonably use efforts to get best angles
- Assist website editor in creation/editing of articles that post
- Assist/Lead in a post-season creation of the top prospect list throughout the summer that will be posted following the conclusion of the 2026 Cape Cod League Season
