Description:
Maintain and update general ledger, including accounts payable and receivable
Reconcile bank and credit card statements monthly
Process employee payroll, ensuring compliance with federal and state labor laws
Manage billing and invoicing, including Medicare, LTC, and private insurers
Prepare and submit cost reports, financial statements, and other documentation as required
Monitor cash flow and make recommendations for budgeting
Ensure accurate recordkeeping in accordance with HIPAA and healthcare finance standards
Track and report on financial performance metrics for the agency
Support administrative staff with budgeting and financial planning tasks
Requirements:
Associate's or Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field (preferred)
2+ years of bookkeeping experience, preferably in a healthcare or home health setting
Proficiency in QuickBooks, Excel, and billing software (e.g., Kinnser, Axxess, ADP or similar)
Understanding of Medicare billing procedures
Strong attention to detail and organizational skills
Ability to maintain confidentiality and comply with HIPAA regulations
