Job description

Employee Health Registered Nurse (RN) needed for a temporary, full-time contract opportunity with Yoh’s client located in Santa Monica, CA.
This position is to cover a leave of absence in the Employee Health Department of the medical center. Job starts ASAP and is ongoing until further notice - anticipating at least through August with likely extension. Assist with the clearance process and medical screenings for new and existing employees. 
--> Shifts: Monday-Friday 7:30am - 4:00pm
Top Skills You Should Possess:
  • Active/unrestricted Registered Nurse (RN) license in state of California
  • Minimum (3) years' experience as a Nurse
  • Previous experience in at least one of the following type settings: Occupational/Employee Health, Emergency Medicine, Urgent Care, Primary Care, School Nursing, Corrections, and/or Family Medicine
  • Recent clinical experience, tech savvy, and reliable employee

What You’ll Be Doing:
  • New hire health screenings
  • Collect/update medical records
  • Provide health promotion and wellness materials/information
  • Post-exposure, communicable disease and blood borne pathogen follow-ups
  • Provide medical testing such as EKGs, blood glucose, blood pressure, cholesterol, vision and hearing screening and perform limited interpretation of tests
  • TB testing
  • Pulmonary Function Testing (PFT) and Respirator Fit Testing (RFT)
  • Maintain employee health records for the entire facility
  • Answer phones and assist with questions
  • Administer vaccinations

What You Need to Bring to the Table:
  • BLS certified from American Heart Association
  • Computer savvy (including prior EMR use) required
  • Excellent interpersonal skills and a team player
  • Immunization/titer records for: MMR (Measles, Mumps, Rubella), Varicella, and Hep B series
  • TB (PPD) test from within the last 90 days or QuantiFERON Gold within the last year
  • Yearly physical
