Employee Engagement Specialist
Position Title: Employee Engagement Specialist / Editorial Content & Channel Specialist
Duration: 12 Months +
Pay Rate: $40.00 - $55.00 /hr on W2
Location: New York, NY 10001
About the Role
We are seeking an Employee Engagement Specialist (Contractor) to create editorial content and manage internal communications channels for US employees.
The ideal candidate is an entrepreneurial self-starter with exceptional writing skills, strong detail orientation, and the proven ability to manage many priorities and deadlines. This role requires building relationships throughout the company and collaborating with various internal stakeholders.
Key Responsibilities
Employee Messaging
  • Drive U.S. employee-focused communication across all internal channels (including an intranet, email, digital signage), tailoring messaging for greatest impact
  • Manage and track employee-wide communications through a shared editorial calendar
  • Serve as editor for various employee-facing communications, acting as a resource across departments and functions to advise and align communication planning and storytelling
  • Partner closely with the Manager, Employee Engagement to create editorially-driven CA&E content in our onsite broadcast studio
  • Measure effectiveness and engagement through surveys and metrics to evolve the internal communication strategy, driving 360-degree feedback
General
  • Effectively collaborate with other members of CA&E to ensure consistency in messaging and identify opportunities for impactful multi-channel storytelling
  • Build relationships with communications partners in the organization, as well as key stakeholders, to influence alignment and seek opportunities to leverage ideas across teams
  • Support the implementation of globally- driven internal communications initiatives, strategically tailored to drive a high level of adoption for the U.S. business audience
Required Education and Experience
  • 3-6 years of experience working in a fast-paced, content production environment
  • Experience working in a role relative to Internal or Corporate Communications
  • Bachelor's degree in communications, Marketing, or related field
Preferred Qualifications
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills, as well as strong listening skills
  • Outstanding influencing and interpersonal skills and a track record of working effectively and forming peer-level relationships with senior members of an organization
  • Experience with video storyboarding, scripting and general editorial & production direction
  • Self-motivated, with an appetite for working entrepreneurially and collaboratively
  • Strong project management skills, and the ability to cascade communications with speed, accuracy and efficiency
  • Adaptable to changing business conditions and thrive in a dynamic, fast-paced environment
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office (basic understanding of Content Management Systems (CMS) and Adobe Suite a plus)
