Job description

Position and Employment Classification

Your title will be BUSINESS DEVELOPMENT MANAGER and you will report directly to Company’s CEO or anyone designated by him. You are considered an exempt employee and not subject to minimum wage or overtime regulations. You are expected to be in the field at least 25% of your working time, but 50% is ideal as the Company has found that significant time in the field relates to success in sales.

Duties and Responsibilities

Employee is expected to make every effort to optimize his/her sales performance and engage in activity on a daily basis that will facilitate this goal. Responsible for new business development, account implementation, and maintaining and deepening customer relationship. Provides face-to-face customer contact, with a focus on achieving personal sales targets and market goals to close and activate new business with small to mid-sized urban customers. Required duties are as follows:

·         Scheduling appointments and meeting customers in order to identify and qualify potential prospects and present current product offers. Utilize materials and resources provided to systematically call upon all businesses in your area understanding what those businesses do and who the key players are.

·         Effective planning to conduct sales presentations by meeting customers physically on daily basis.

·         Provide professional demonstrations or presentations of Company products and services while onsite.

·         Liaising between the Company and the customers for up-to-date pricing, service, and latest product-release launches.

·        Identifying and qualifying prospective customers through research, networking, Social Media such as FaceBook, Constant Contact Campaigns,                and cold-calling.

·         Adequately communicates the scope of the work and needs of the customer to the Designers and Production staff.

·        Enhancing up-to-date knowledge on new products, procedures, services, and tools by attending training and other meetings. Have a good grasp              of product information so as to recommend the best solution to a customer for their printing and signage needs.

·         Continuously updating all prospects on Company product modifications, changes, and enhancements.

·         Maintaining professionalism, diplomacy, sensitivity, and tact to portray the Company in a positive manner.

·         Effectively attending conferences and trade shows, where applicable.

·         Using marketing data to maximize sales effectiveness and efficiency by using relevant sales management tools.

·         Preparing reports for sales and marketing and maintaining accurate expense accounts.

·         Updating and maintaining customer account records, including contact names and numbers for future sales.

·         Providing product quotes to customers as needed.
