Job description

Summary:

Reporting to the Commercial Director, RES Energy Services, the Senior Manager, Business Development - Wind O&M will lead business development activities specific to RES Operations & Maintenance services throughout North America for wind projects. The primary responsibility is to leverage existing relationships, identify and engage clients, build a pipeline of O&M opportunities, and convert them into sales aligned with Order Entry targets.

Requirements:

  • Own the entire process of Wind O&M lead generation through contract award across North America.
  • Leverage an established network within the renewable energy industry including developers, IPPs, and asset owners.
  • Cultivate new client relationships and develop a robust pipeline of Wind O&M service opportunities.
  • Build and execute Key Account Plans, communication plans, and sales strategies.
  • Create proposals, quotes, and RFP responses while coordinating negotiations with legal and executive teams.
  • Maintain ownership of CRM pipeline activities and sales forecasting.
  • Travel regularly to meet customers and industry stakeholders.
  • Represent RES at industry events, trade shows, webinars, and conferences.
  • Partner with operations, engineering, supply chain, HSQE, legal, and commercial teams to develop customer solutions.
  • Maintain strong relationships with global RES business development teams.
  • Manage existing client relationships and identify growth opportunities.
  • Support development of operational capabilities aligned with customer needs.
  • Domestic Travel: 31-50%.

Safety:

  • Follows safety and security procedures and determines appropriate action. Reports potentially unsafe conditions and uses materials and equipment properly.

Leadership:

  • Fosters an inclusive workplace focused on trust, innovation, service, and exceeding expectations.
  • Manages direct reports and participates in hiring and selection activities.
  • Conducts performance reviews, coaching, goal setting, and employee development discussions.
  • Demonstrates leadership and credibility with customer groups and internal stakeholders.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's Degree required.
  • 8+ years Wind O&M business development experience required.
  • 5+ years negotiating and pricing O&M contracts preferred.
  • Demonstrated ability to quickly establish, develop, and close sales opportunities.
  • Established relationships with wind asset owners and operators.
  • Experience with CRM systems, project risk evaluation, B2B sales, and executive-level networking.
  • Ability to discuss technical, commercial, financial, and compliance concepts with customers.
  • Functional competencies include Building Strategic Partnerships, Customer Focus, Ethics & Integrity, Casting the Right Shadow, and Communication.

Anticipated base salary range: $150,000 - $175,000

The final agreed upon compensation is based on individual education, qualifications, experience, and work location. This position is bonus eligible.
