Job Description:
At Regions, the Emerging Technology/Cloud Solutions Manager leads a team that is responsible for advancing Regions infrastructure within the technology space. This position is responsible to deliver cloud (private, public, hybrid) base and infrastructure solutions in a cost-effective manner to assist Regions business partners in achieving their goals.
Primary Responsibilities
  • Leads strategy, execution, and operationalization of Regions cloud (public, private, hybrid) operating model
  • Leads end-to-end automation technologies for private, public, and hybrid cloud spaces from initial build through production consumption
  • Leads the build-out of Regions cloud greenfield environments for production consumption
  • Leads a technology engineering team that is responsible for application infrastructure hosting services
  • Leads the engineering of infrastructure standards, patterns, and solutions to support business, data and application requirement
  • Partners with other security architects, solution architects, developers, key stakeholders and business partners across Regions' organization
  • Evaluates current hosting operations and recommend new cloud hosting strategies that could comprise of a private, public, or hybrid solutions
  • Leads and supports Regions Enterprise Containerization Platform while implementing tools that will provide a robust, feature rich, and scalable DevSecOps experience
  • Performs resource/asset tracking and management for tools and technologies relating to automation, cloud, as well as future technology areas that will be brought in to expand Regions portfolio
  • Leads the creation, implementation, and support of governance initiatives including benchmark assessments, cost management, policy and compliance, risk assessments, resource consistency/enforcements, and documentation
  • Creates tactical and strategic emerging technology roadmaps and provide leadership for successful execution of the associated plans
  • Owns responsibility and participates in internal and external audit reviews and ensures satisfactory review outcomes
  • Performs project management functions for teams' strategic projects
  • Executes Regions vendor management processes and negotiate contracts for the technology hardware, software, and cloud assets under management
  • Creates technology business proposals, including financial proforma views, Total Cost Ownership (TCO), and business-case analysis; present proposals to committees for approval
  • Ensures infrastructure availability service levels are achieved and align staff and services to support Regions 24x7x365 business functions under management
  • Partners across Technology, Operations, Digital, and Data (TODD) to ensure controls are designed, implemented, and monitored to strengthen risk management, compliance, and cyber security, effectively mitigating risk to levels within the company's risk appetite
  • Ensures disciplined change management by evaluating risk and control impacts when designing or implementing changes to processes, systems, products, and/or services

This position is exempt from timekeeping requirements under the Fair Labor Standards Act and is not eligible for overtime pay.
This position is incentive eligible.
Requirements
  • Bachelor's degree in a related field and six (6) years of professional experience
  • Or High School (HS) degree and ten (10) years of professional experience

  • Supervisory or managerial experience

  • Cloud (public, private, hybrid) industry experience

Pay ranges are job specific and are provided as a point-of-market reference for compensation decisions. Other factors which directly impact pay for individual associates include: experience, skills, knowledge, contribution, job location and, most importantly, performance in the job role. As these factors vary by individuals, pay will also vary among individual associates within the same job.
The target information listed below is based on the Metropolitan Statistical Area Market Range for where the position is located and level of the position.
