Job description

JOB OPPORTUNITY: Physician (Emergency Medicine)
Hartford Hospital seeks a full-time Emergency Medicine Physician to perform comprehensive assessments and treatment of patients that present for emergency services at Hartford Hospital; evaluate patients' medical history, vital signs, and physical examination findings; order and interpret diagnostic tests; provide initial treatment and stabilization for patients with life-threatening or potentially life-threatening conditions; prescribe and administer medications, fluids, and other therapies as needed; perform procedures such as intubation and wound care; consult and coordinate with other specialists, such as surgeons, cardiologists, neurologists, and toxicologists, for further management and referral; and document and communicate the clinical findings, diagnosis, treatment plan, and disposition of each patient. Will work at Hartford Hospital, 80 Seymour Street, Hartford, CT 06106.
Qualifications:
The minimum requirements for this position are: Doctor of Medicine (M.D.), Doctor of Osteopathic Medicine (D.O.), or the foreign equivalent; completion of a U.S. residency in Emergency Medicine; board certification or board eligibility in Emergency Medicine; and the possession of or eligibility for an unrestricted Connecticut medical license.
