Job Description

Includes but is not limited to the following. Other duties may be assigned.

General knowledge of electronic and hard copy billing, (primary and secondary) through various methods including Emdeon, Inmediata, WebMD, Claimsnet, CPR+ ready to bill file, CMS 1500, payer specific claim forms, payer specific portals or websites, 835 submissions

Receives incoming calls related to the Billing Department

Must enter detailed billing notes on the patient's file

EOB interpretation

Works Cash Pays in the ready to bill file

Attaches supply delivery tickets

Submits NQR adjustments as required

Is willing to cross-train and fill-in in other areas within the department

This person has a basic understanding of pricing. Is able to look up pricing in CPR+. Is able to identify which payers are contracted and what their pricing is. Is familiar with Axium's usual and customary pricing.

Meets department standards pertaining to daily/weekly/monthly productivity metrics

Works in an efficient and cohesive group environment


Qualifications

3 years Medical Billing Experience

Working both off of paper and electronically

Must be able to multitask and work well with others under time constraints

Must possess excellent verbal & written communication skills

Must be able to multi-task efficiently

Must be able to work well with other departments


Additional Information

 Hours for this Position:

M-F 8am-5pm or 830am-530pm (be flexible for either)
