Duties
Help
  • Responsible for receiving, cutting, boning, and grinding meat in an AFRC. Includes performance of the full range of meat cutting tasks to prepare all types of meat for cooking.
  • Required to operate the beef saw, pork saw, boning table, trimming table , and grinder.
  • Operates all types of grinding equipment to produce ground beef, sausage, ground veal and ground lamb. Process poultry and seafood products to ready to cook portions.
  • Must have skill in meatcutting techniques such as cutting at proper angles to yield the greatest number of desirable cuts with a minimum of waste.
  • Must have full knowledge of sanitary standards and safety precautions.

Allowances and Differentials
  • This job falls under the Federal Wage Schedule (FWS) pay system. FWS employees earn overtime pay for working more than 8 hours in a day or more than 40 hours in a week whichever gives the employee more benefit. Regular full-time, regular part-time, and regularly scheduled flexible employees may receive Sunday premium pay for working on Sundays. Employees may also be eligible to receive extra pay if the majority of their scheduled hours falls after 3:00 PM.
  • Non-foreign overseas allowances, cost of living (COLA), and differentials will not be paid, contingent upon eligibility.
