KJUS | Embroidery Machine Operator

Full-time - Boulder, CO

Non-Exempt, Hourly (on-site)

Responsible for embroidery of KJUS apparel at customization facility. This position will report directly to the KJUS Senior Supervisor Customization Center.

Responsibilities:

Perform Embroidery on Apparel (40%)

  • Perform embroidery on custom orders as requested for apparel, caps and accessories
  • Operate multiple embroidery machines in an efficient manner
  • Ensure all custom embroidery instructions are followed accurately regarding logo placement & thread colors
  • Ensure embroidery meets KJUS company quality standards
  • Maintain a steady workflow of all custom orders to assist in the production schedule
  • Work frequently with and have a good eye for Isacord & Madeira thread & Pantone Ink systems
  • Perform sew outs in a timely fashion for prospective clients

Perform Heat Transfer Application on Apparel (30%)

  • Apply heat transfers on custom orders as requested for apparel, caps and accessories
  • Be willing to learn graphics programs to operate plotting software/machine
  • Operate multiple Heat Press machines in an efficient manner
  • Ensure all custom Heat Transfer instructions are followed accurately regarding logo placement & accurate colors
  • Ensure Heat Transfers meet KJUS company quality standards
  • Maintain a steady workflow of all custom orders to assist in the production schedule

Inventory, Finishing, Quality Assurance and Packaging (30%)

  • Product inspection inventory control, verify all apparel picked accurately, labeled for operators, WO / Artwork provided, and call outs correspond to stock/custom order prior to production
  • Inspection of final product, trimming and quality checks of embroidered logos
  • Folding, bagging, boxing and tracking of orders through KJUS proprietary spreadsheets
  • Assist in the packaging and shipping of completed orders, including Rush or high priority handling

Qualifications:

  • High school diploma or equivalent, associates degree preferred
  • Minimum 2 years of experience in embroidery or custom apparel decoration
  • Must be able to lift 25lbs repetitively and work within a production and warehouse environment
  • Extended periods of time sitting and/or standing, and frequent lifting
  • Basic computer skills (MS Office, Outlook, Barudan Operating System, Google Docs)
