THE OPPORTUNITY

Lakeshirts is looking for a Print Specialist to become the technical expert behind our Direct to Film (DTFX) production process. In this role, you'll operate, maintain, troubleshoot, and optimize DTFX printing equipment while ensuring quality, efficiency, safety, and on-time production. You'll also train team members, solve technical challenges, and support continuous improvement. If you enjoy working with equipment, solving problems, and producing high-quality products, this role fits to a tee.

PAY + SCHEDULE

Location: Detroit Lakes, MN

Night Shift : M-TH 4pm-2am (Will train on days from 8a-4p for at least a month)

Pay: $18.00/hr

Growth: Technical specialist pathway in digital printing, equipment maintenance, print quality, troubleshooting, and production leadership.

A TYPICAL DAY

  • Operate DTFX printers, powder application equipment, curing systems, and related production machinery.
  • Review work orders and schedules to prioritize workload and keep customer orders on time.
  • Inspect transfers for color accuracy, print quality, adhesion, and consistency.
  • Perform preventive maintenance, cleaning, nozzle checks, printhead care, and calibration.
  • Troubleshoot printer, RIP software, ink-delivery, curing, and print-quality issues; work with vendors when advanced support is needed.
  • Maintain production, quality, maintenance, downtime, and corrective-action records.
  • Test new films, inks, powders, software, equipment, and processes while identifying ways to reduce waste and improve output.
  • Train and support operators while reinforcing safe equipment operation and best practices.

SKILLS

  • High school diploma or equivalent.
  • Experience operating printing, manufacturing, or production equipment.
  • Strong mechanical aptitude and troubleshooting ability.
  • Attention to detail and commitment to print-quality standards.
  • Ability to prioritize work in a fast-paced production environment.
  • Basic computer skills and comfort learning print software and equipment interfaces.
  • Strong communication, teamwork, and training skills.
  • Preferred: DTF/DTFX printing, digital printing, color management, RIP software, equipment maintenance or repair, production workflow, or employee training.
