Description:
The RN is responsible for decisions and actions within the domain of nursing practice.
Important aspects of this responsibility include the promotion of a safe and therapeutic environment for both the recipients and providers of nursing care.
Acquisition of specialized knowledge, skills, and additional formal education to provide specialized care is essential.
Demonstration and validation of competence in nursing practice must be upheld.
Clinical practice should be consistent with the policies, procedures, and standards of the facility.
Supervision of other staff as designated within the department is part of the role.
Competence in all areas, including patience experience, AIDET, bedside reporting, hourly rounding, and service recovery, is vital.
Documentation system utilized will be Meditech.
Floating to other units may be required as needed.
Navy blue scrubs with designated embroidery are the expected attire.
Nail policy requires clean and healthy nails, with no artificial nails or gel.
Hair should be neat and clean, with no extreme styles or colors.
Facial hair must be clean and neatly trimmed.
Body art should be covered whenever possible, with individual cases addressed if covering is unfeasible.
Visible piercings other than earrings are prohibited.
General attendance policies will be followed.
