Job Summary/Objective

KETOS Inc. is seeking a highly skilled and innovative Embedded Systems Lead to drive the architecture and development of our advanced IoT solutions. Based in Milpitas, CA, this role is integral to designing and implementing scalable embedded systems by collaborating with cross-functional teams, including R&D, Hardware, and Portal. The Embedded Systems Lead will develop software and firmware using C/C++, integrate hardware with cloud platforms, and troubleshoot complex hardware and software issues.


The ideal candidate will have expertise in Linux Administration, Python, AWS, and software testing frameworks, as well as hands‑on experience with LoRaWAN gateways, robotic navigation protocols, and embedded Linux systems. Key Responsibilities

  • Architect and develop robust, scalable IoT systems in collaboration with R&D, Hardware, and Portal teams.

  • Design and implement embedded firmware for microcontroller and embedded microprocessor‑based systems using C/C++.

  • Develop software for embedded systems and integrate hardware with cloud platforms.

  • Participate in the full development lifecycle, including documentation, coding, testing, debugging, and feature support.

  • Configure and optimize an 8‑channel LoRaWAN gateway for Ketos sensors.

  • Create a centralized data collection hub on an embedded Linux board.

  • Troubleshoot and resolve hardware and software issues in MCU‑based systems.

  • Design navigation protocols for robotic arms using stepper motors and limit switches.

  • Leverage expertise in Linux Administration, Python, AWS, and software testing frameworks to ensure system performance and scalability.


Skills & Qualifications

  • Education: Master’s Degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field.

  • Experience: At least 1 year of experience as a Software Engineer or in a related role.

  • Technical Skills:

    • Proficiency in C/C++ for embedded systems development.

    • Strong knowledge of Linux Administration and embedded Linux systems.

    • Experience with Python and its frameworks.

    • Expertise in Amazon Web Services (AWS) and cloud platform integration.

    • Familiarity with software testing frameworks and load balancers.



  • IoT and Hardware Skills:

    • Hands‑on experience configuring LoRaWAN gateways.

    • Debugging and resolving issues in MCU‑based systems.

    • Knowledge of navigation protocols for robotic arms using stepper motors and limit switches.
