Senior Tester - Embedded Software

The Senior Functional Tester - Embedded Software plays a critical role in ensuring the quality and functionality of software applications through comprehensive testing. This role involves creating and executing test cases, tracking metrics, and collaborating with both the development team and clients to meet quality standards and client requirements, thus contributing significantly to the overall success of the project.

Key Responsibilities

  • Create and review test cases derived from functional specifications and software requirement specification documents to ensure comprehensive test coverage.
  • Execute functional tests according to the test plan and respective test cases, ensuring that the software meets all specified requirements.
  • Collaborate on the development of test plans, contributing expertise in functional testing and embedded software to enhance overall testing strategies.
  • Track and analyze key testing metrics such as test coverage and defect density, and compile detailed progress reports for stakeholders.
  • Facilitate communication with the team for discussions regarding testing progress and technical challenges, and provide updates to clients on testing status and outcomes.

Skill Requirements

  • Strong understanding of functional testing methodologies and practices for embedded software.
  • Familiarity with creating and reviewing test cases based on software specifications.
  • Good knowledge of defect tracking tools and reporting metrics.
