Join Thermo King as a Control Systems Engineer and help shape the future of transport refrigeration and auxiliary power systems. In this role, you will provide global systems engineering leadership for controller development, working across product, platform, software, hardware, and external partner teams to translate customer and product needs into clear requirements, system architectures, and technical specifications. You'll play a key role in delivering high-performing, reliable solutions by supporting the full embedded controller development lifecycle from requirements and design through integration, testing, and product improvement, while contributing to innovative, customer-focused technologies in a collaborative development environment.

What you will do:

  • Provide global control system engineering support of transport refrigeration units and auxiliary power units.
  • Coordinates internal and external efforts for electronics and software design projects to ensure that product and customer requirements are captured, designs and specifications are documented, necessary milestones are identified and project schedules are met.
  • Partner with product management, project management and platform teams to ensure that new products perform as required.
  • Contributes the assurance that technical performance meets system platform requirements.
  • Develop cross-functional leadership and beneficial relationships with internal and external stakeholders.
  • Contributes to lifecycle projects as required to update product performance.
  • Participate in feasibility studies and ideation events with cross-functional teams for refrigeration technology
  • Maintain & develop product development tools to improve development, testing, and troubleshooting
  • Work under guidance to ensure development integrates key FMEA and Design for Service and Testability.

What you will bring:

  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Engineering, Computer Science, Electrical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering or related technical field with 2+ years of experience in systems engineering.
  • Experience working with Phase Gate and Agile development methodologies.
  • Hands-on experience with the embedded controller development lifecycle i.e. requirements, design, implementation, integration testing, deployment and postproduction support is a plus.
  • Experience with designing and supporting controller solutions.
