Job description

The Systems Administrator is responsible for the administration, security, maintenance, and continuous improvement of the organization's enterprise technology infrastructure.
This role manages Windows Server, Microsoft 365, Active Directory, virtualization, networking, cybersecurity, backup and disaster recovery, and other core technology platforms. The Systems Administrator works closely with the Director of IT to ensure enterprise systems remain secure, reliable, scalable, and capable of supporting Hana's continued growth.
Minimum Qualifications:
  • Bachelor's degree in Information Technology or equivalent experience.
  • Five (5) or more years of Systems Administration experience.
  • Experience administering Windows Server, Microsoft 365, Active Directory, Group Policy, enterprise networking, virtualization platforms, and backup solutions.
  • Strong understanding of cybersecurity best practices and enterprise infrastructure management.
  • Microsoft, CompTIA Security+, Network+, or Entra certifications preferred.
  • Experience with Proxmox, VMware, or other enterprise virtualization platforms preferred.
  • Experience supporting manufacturing environments preferred.
  • Experience supporting ISO 27001, NIST, or similar security frameworks preferred.
Essential Job Functions:
Infrastructure Administration -
  • Administer Windows Server, Active Directory, Group Policy, DNS, DHCP, file services, and core infrastructure platforms.
  • Monitor system health, perform capacity planning, and maintain infrastructure documentation.
  • Implement server maintenance, patching, and performance optimization.
Microsoft 365 Administration -
  • Administer Microsoft 365 services including Exchange Online, Entra ID, Teams, SharePoint Online, OneDrive, licensing, and security.
  • Manage Conditional Access, MFA, email security, retention policies, and compliance features.
Network amp; Cybersecurity -
  • Administer enterprise networking including switches, firewalls, wireless infrastructure, VPNs, and VLANs.
  • Monitor, maintain, and improve the organization's cybersecurity posture.
  • Support vulnerability remediation, identity management, endpoint protection, incident response, and security compliance initiatives.
Backup, Disaster Recovery amp; Monitoring -
  • Administer backup and disaster recovery solutions.
  • Perform backup validation, recovery testing, and disaster recovery planning.
  • Proactively monitor infrastructure performance, availability, and capacity while performing root cause analysis and preventative maintenance.
Technical Leadership amp; Documentation -
  • Lead infrastructure projects, evaluate new technologies, and coordinate vendor implementations.
  • Develop and maintain technical standards, system documentation, disaster recovery documentation, and network diagrams.
  • Provide Tier III technical support for complex infrastructure issues and mentor junior IT staff when appropriate.
