The ideal candidate is a skilled communicator with expertise in Hubspot and nonprofit fundraising. You'll be responsible for executing email campaigns that lead donors through the lifecycle stages, from cultivation to solicitation to stewardship, developing sophisticated audience segments, A/B testing, and analyzing results to refine our approach.
Key Responsibilities:
  • Configure, customize, and execute multiple high-impact email campaigns weekly within Hubspot, supporting the full fundraising funnel and all donor pipelines.
  • Create and manage segmented and suppression lists, workflows, and automation processes within HubSpot, ensuring and applying understanding of CRM properties, objectives, and pipeline structures.
  • Write compelling email copy for cultivation, solicitation, and stewardship appeals, with an understanding of what motivates subscribers to engage with email content.
  • Regularly A/B test email content, working with the Director of Performance Marketing to track tests, analyze results, and apply findings to future email campaigns.
  • Adhere to deadlines within the email editorial calendar, aligning with cross-channel content and initiatives, and updating assigned email tasks within the project management software (Asana).
  • Maintain the health and integrity of the HubSpot CRM database and segments, ensuring accurate and up-to-date customer information and monitoring unsubscribe and engagement rates and list sizes.
  • Collaborate with the Director of Growth Operations to integrate the HubSpot CRM with other marketing and sales tools.
  • Responsible for achieving email channel KPIs with the guidance of the Director of Donor Journey, regularly assessing progress towards KPIs and making decisions on how to achieve them.
  • Monitor, track, and report on email campaign performance (open rates, click-through rates, conversions, etc.) and provide analysis with recommendations for increasing effectiveness.
  • Regularly update and implement welcome series and workflows for new subscribers.
  • Work with the Director of Donor Journey to refine and implement workflows and sequences for unengaged, at-risk, and lapsed audiences, collaborating across channels to retain these donors.
  • Work closely with the creative and digital teams to develop, test, and share new creative assets and learnings.
  • Troubleshoot and resolve any issues related to the HubSpot Email system, supported by Marketing Operations.
  • Provide regular updates and insights to the Marketing and Growth teams and other relevant stakeholders on email marketing performance and overall email health.

Required Skills:
  • Demonstrated experience using HubSpot to build, deploy, and optimize email campaigns.
  • Must have a strong understanding of reporting platforms and KPIs, including Google Analytics and Hubspot.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office (specifically Word, Excel, and PowerPoint).
  • Experience with Asana or other project management tools a plus.
  • Strong copywriting skills with the ability to translate marketing strategy into effective, compelling email campaigns and clearly communicate the organization's mission.
  • Detail oriented.

Education and Experience:
  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent professional experience.
  • 5+ years of experience in email campaign creation and strategy, with at least 2 years in nonprofit fundraising.
  • Strong proficiency in audience segmentation and retargeting, A/B testing, staging and deployment, and automated campaigns.
  • Working knowledge of email marketing regulations and best practices (e.g., CAN-SPAM, GDPR concepts, deliverability).
  • Strong organizational and time-management skills with attention to detail in deadline-driven environments.
  • Understanding of how email functions together within an integrated digital marketing strategy.
  • Proven ability to work effectively in a remote environment with minimal supervision, while also collaborating with cross-functional teams.
  • Flexibility to support time-sensitive campaigns as needed, including occasional work outside standard business hours.
  • Commitment to Greater Good Charities' mission and to fostering an inclusive and respectful workplace.

Working Environment and Benefits:
