Job description

Everspring is a leading provider of education technology and service solutions. Our advanced technology, proven marketing approach, research-based instructional design services, and robust faculty support deliver outstanding outcomes for our university partners, powering their success online.

Everspring is looking for a B2B Marketing Operations & Salesforce Systems Manager to help activate the front end of our business through smarter use of our systems, data, and lead management processes.

This is a highly cross-functional role for someone who understands how marketing systems, Salesforce, databases, and sales processes work together and who is just as comfortable thinking strategically about process improvement as they are getting hands-on in the system.

You'll help ensure that our marketing and sales teams can better access, understand, and act on prospect and lead activity. That means improving how we capture, organize, segment, upload, route, report on, and activate leads across Salesforce, marketing automation platforms, and related systems.

This role is ideal for a systems-minded operator with Salesforce administrator experience who likes making things work better: cleaner data, clearer visibility, better workflows, stronger campaign execution, and more useful reporting. You don't need to know everything on day one, but you do need to be curious, collaborative, detail-oriented, and eager to learn new platforms and processes, including Salesforce Marketing Cloud.

This role reports the VP of Growth Marketing and is located in Chicago, with a hybrid work environment requiring a minimum of 3 days in-office each week.

Role Highlights

  • Own and improve key marketing and sales systems processes across Salesforce and marketing automation platforms.
  • Help Everspring better activate its database, lead flow, and prospect engagement activity.
  • Serve as a hands-on Salesforce and database operator for list uploads, lead management, reporting, and process improvements.
  • Partner with marketing and sales to improve lead visibility, follow-up, segmentation, and campaign activation.
  • Support email and nurture campaign deployment, including a willingness to learn and work within Salesforce Marketing Cloud.
  • Bring both strategic systems thinking and tactical execution to a lean, collaborative marketing team.

Responsibilities

Strengthen Lead Management & Database Activation

  • Improve how Everspring captures, organizes, segments, and activates prospect and lead data.
  • Support database pulls, list cleanup, upload preparation, segmentation, and audience management.
  • Execute lead and contact uploads into Salesforce and related marketing systems.
  • Help ensure leads are accurately associated with campaigns, sources, lead types, and communication flows.
  • Identify opportunities to improve data quality, process consistency, and lead usability.

Own Hands-On Salesforce Operations

  • Serve as a hands-on Salesforce operator supporting front-end business needs.
  • Manage system requests related to leads, contacts, campaigns, reporting, list uploads, and visibility.
  • Help sales teams better understand and act on marketing-generated activity.
  • Support improvements to lead status, activity tracking, notifications, and workflow visibility.
  • Partner with sales and B2B leaders to translate business needs into practical Salesforce process improvements.

Support Campaign Execution & Marketing Automation

  • Support the build, QA, and deployment of marketing emails and campaign sends.
  • Manage audience segmentation and send groups for campaigns and nurture programs.
  • Collaborate on nurture flows, operational campaigns, and prospect engagement programs.
  • Learn and support campaign deployment within Salesforce Marketing Cloud.
  • Ensure campaigns are launched accurately, thoughtfully, and with strong attention to detail.

Improve Visibility, Reporting & Process

  • Support recurring inbound lead reporting and marketing activity visibility.
  • Help teams better understand what is happening across the front end of the business.
  • Create and maintain practical documentation for repeatable processes.
  • Recommend improvements that help marketing and sales capitalize on existing activity, leads, and database opportunities.
  • Serve as a collaborative partner across marketing, sales, and operations to make systems easier to use and more valuable to the business.

Qualifications

  • 47+ years of experience in marketing operations, Salesforce administration, revenue operations, database marketing, or a related systems-focused role.
  • Strong hands-on admin experience with Salesforce, including leads, contacts, campaigns, reports, list uploads, and data management.
  • Strong understanding of databases, segmentation, data hygiene, and lead management processes.
  • Experience working with marketing automation or email platforms; Salesforce Marketing Cloud experience is a plus, but willingness to learn is essential.
  • Ability to think strategically about systems and processes while also executing detailed, tactical work directly.
  • Strong analytical, organizational, and problem-solving skills.
  • Excellent attention to detail, especially when working with data, lists, workflows, and campaign deployment.
  • Collaborative communication style and ability to work across marketing, sales, and operations teams.
  • Comfortable in a lean, fast-moving environment where priorities evolve and hands-on ownership matters.
  • Experience in B2B marketing, higher education, professional services, or enrollment marketing is a plus.
  • Salesforce Administrator certification or marketing automation certification is a plus, but not required.

Why Join Us

This is an opportunity to play a central role in how Everspring activates its B2B and sales engine. You'll help turn data, systems, and prospect activity into clearer visibility, stronger engagement, and better business outcomes.

You'll join a collaborative, mission-driven team that values people who can see the big picture, solve practical problems, and make systems work better for the teams who depend on them.
