Truck Wreck Justice, proudly serves clients across Chattanooga and beyond with a dedicated focus on catastrophic trucking and commercial vehicle accidents. As a team deeply committed to justice, we specialize in cases involving oversize load collisions, logging truck incidents, and traumatic brain injuries, providing exceptional representation to each client in complex legal battles.

Founded on the principles of integrity and relentless advocacy, Truck Wreck Justice focuses on plaintiff-side catastrophic trucking and commercial vehicle cases. Our mission extends beyond the courtroom as we aim to create meaningful change in the lives of those we represent.

The Operations Manager at Truck Wreck Justice is a pivotal role designed to transform the firm's operational framework. There is currently no dedicated operations function, and this role will establish structure, accountability, and process ownership across the firm. Your leadership will directly impact our ability to achieve strategic goals while maintaining high standards of client service.

What you'll do:

  • Accounting & Bookkeeping (Top Priority): Immediately take ownership of financial operations and ensure continuity as the current support transitions out.
  • Process & SOP Development: Develop and implement standard operating procedures that enhance operational consistency and efficiency across the firm.
  • Reporting & Data Management: Create a data-driven culture by establishing robust reporting systems using SmartAdvocate and AI tools (e.g., Anytime) to enhance reporting and decision-making.
  • Case Flow Oversight: Monitor case progress and ensure paralegal and attorney tasks are executed efficiently, without directly handling casework.
  • Team Coordination: Facilitate effective communication across teams, foster accountability, and oversee performance visibility.
  • Office Leadership: Act as the primary onsite decision-maker in partners' frequent absence, ensuring operational stability and smooth office functioning.
  • Marketing & Vendor Coordination: Coordinate with vendors to ensure website and social media remain active (no strategic ownership required).
  • Work Environment & Location: This is an on-site role based in Tennessee and requires daily in-office presence.

What we're looking for:

  • Accounting Experience: Demonstrated expertise in managing bookkeeping and accounting within a law firm setting.
  • Legal Industry Background: Experience and understanding of legal workflows and litigation processes, particularly in a plaintiff practice.
  • Process Builder: Proven ability to establish and improve operational procedures and workflows.
  • Detail-Oriented: Strong emphasis on accuracy, grammar, and precision in communications and reporting.
  • Self-Directed Leader: Ability to operate independently and drive initiatives without constant direction.
  • Operational Intelligence: Understanding of law firm operations, including identifying inefficiencies and implementing improvements.

Why you should work here:

  • Growth Opportunity: Join us in building the foundation for operational excellence, with a clear path to Director as the role expands.
  • Autonomy & Leadership: Trusted to manage operations and influence essential processes while partners travel or focus on strategic areas.
  • Tech-Forward Environment: Leverage cutting-edge technology like SmartAdvocate and AI to enhance reporting and case management.
  • High Impact: Play a crucial role in achieving strategic goals and supporting the firm's transition to direct client engagement.

This is an extraordinary opportunity to make a significant impact at Truck Wreck Justice. If you are ready to shape the future of our firm with your operational expertise and dedication, we invite you to apply and join our mission to deliver unparalleled legal representation and leadership excellence.
