Job Description: Email Marketing Specialist
We are seeking a mid-level Email Marketing Specialist to manage and optimize our email campaigns. This role is ideal for someone who not only has a strong grasp of email marketing best practices but also understands how to troubleshoot deliverability issues, make simple HTML/CSS code changes, and track performance metrics that drive engagement.
Essential Functions:
  • Plan, build, and execute email campaigns using our templating and sending solutions.
  • Make HTML/CSS edits to email templates to ensure rendering across devices and platforms.
  • Monitor inbox placement and troubleshoot deliverability issues using tools such as Email on Acid, Litmus, etc.
  • Personalize content, evaluate subject lines, and make other recommendations to improve open and click-through rates.
  • Track and report on campaign performance (e.g., open rate, conversion, bounce rate, spam)
  • Utilize tools to help maintain clean and compliant email lists (e.g., unsubscribe management, spam trap avoidance)
  • Gather email campaign requirements by coordinating with clients and/or internal customer services teams.
  • Adhere to accessibility best practices and provide guidance on email best practices.
  • Work with the team to improve processes and work methods for greater efficiency.

Required Qualifications:
  • Experience in email marketing or digital marketing.
  • Basic knowledge of HTML and CSS for email formatting.
  • Familiarity with email deliverability tools, reporting programs, accessibility standards and CAN-SPAM regulations.
  • Strong understanding of email marketing metrics and analytics.
  • Experience with ESPs such as SendGrid, Salesforce Marketing Cloud, or similar.
  • Exceptional communication, interpersonal, and support skills.
  • Demonstrate resourcefulness, motivation, and initiative.
  • Ability to work independently, with some assistance from the team or manager.
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment.

  • Understanding of responsive design/development principles.
