Crossroads Church is a growing multi-site, interdenominational church. Our sites are currently located in Ohio and Kentucky, with plans to expand to additional cities.We also have an online presence that serves thousands of people who aren't located near one of our physical sites.

Job Summary

Crossroads Camps creates intentional, set-apart spaces where people encounter God, experience transformation, and leave renewed, connected, and changed. The Camps Content Creator & Storytelling Specialist helps bring those stories to life through compelling video, photography, social media, and digital storytelling that captures the heart and emotional impact of Camps. This role exists to help people experience the spirit of Camps before they ever arrive at Base Camp by creating content that builds anticipation, belonging, connection, and movement around Camps experiences. This person will spend significant time embedded in Camps environments capturing moments, testimonies, and real-time camp experiences throughout the year, including weekend camps and Revival.
Principal Duties and Responsibilities

  • Create compelling video, photography, and social media content across all Camps brands and experiences.

  • Produce content including reels, testimonials, recap videos, launch content, speaker promos, behind-the-scenes storytelling, and YouTube content.

  • Capture and communicate authentic stories, transformational moments, and camp experiences.

  • Create platform-native content for Instagram, YouTube, TikTok/Reels, Facebook, and emerging social platforms.

  • Support year-round storytelling and audience engagement across Camps channels.

  • Create content that builds anticipation, emotional connection, belonging, and movement around Camps.

  • Lead content capture efforts during camps, Revival, and major events.

  • Coordinate interviews, shot lists, social posting, and storytelling opportunities during camp weekends.

  • Collaborate with the Camps Marketing & Growth Lead, Studio partners, contractors, photographers, videographers, and creatives to support campaigns and storytelling initiatives.

  • Help organize and maintain content libraries, storytelling archives, and creative assets while ensuring all content reflects the voice and identity of Camps.

Education Requirements

  • Formal education not required.

  • Relevant portfolio work, creative experience, or demonstrated storytelling ability strongly preferred.

Experience/Skills Requirements

  • 3+ years of experience creating video, social media, photography, or storytelling content.

  • Strong understanding of Instagram, TikTok/Reels, YouTube, and social-first storytelling.

  • Experience with video editing and content creation workflows.

  • Strong visual storytelling instincts and emotional intelligence.

  • Ability to work in fast-paced, outdoor, live-event environments.

  • Self-starter with strong creative initiative and adaptability.

  • Strong collaboration and communication skills.

  • Passion for storytelling, creativity, adventure, and creating meaningful experiences that impact people's lives.

Physical Requirements

  • Must be able to walk up to 5 miles, standing, climbing, lifting, pulling, and/or pushing, carrying, reaching, and stooping as duties required. Must be able to lift up 25 lbs.

Schedule/Travel Requirements

  • Must be able to work a flexible schedule including weekdays, weekends, during camp events, and other high impact events at Crossroads.
