BizIQ is looking for a detail-oriented Marketing Specialist to plan and execute the email marketing, CRM programs that keep our clients' digital marketing performing. You'll build and send email campaigns, maintain content across client and internal CMS platforms, and manage CRM workflows in HubSpot (and similar tools) to nurture leads and support client retention. This is a hands-on role for someone who enjoys both the creative side of marketing content and the operational discipline of clean lists, working automations, and reliable reporting.

OBJECTIVES

  • Manage CRM systems, on systems like HubSpot, including CRM configuration on customer accounts, list segmentation, lead scoring, workflow automation, and data hygiene.
  • Ability to configure, build, and send email marketing campaigns (newsletters, promotions, drip sequences, and automated nurture flows) that drive opens, clicks, and conversions.
  • Maintain and update website content across CMS platforms (WordPress and similar), ensuring pages are accurate, on-brand, and optimized for engagement.
  • Track and report on campaign performance (open rate, click-through rate, conversion rate, list growth/attrition) and use the data to continuously improve results.
  • Run A/B tests on subject lines, content, and calls to action to improve engagement over time.
  • Develop supporting marketing collateral, including landing pages, email templates, and content assets.
  • Ensure brand consistency and quality control across all client-facing and internal marketing content.
  • Collaborate cross-functionally with sales, client success, and design to align messaging and timing.
  • Stay current on email marketing, CMS, and CRM best practices, deliverability standards, and platform updates.
  • Effectively present company services to clients and prospects using tools such as PowerPoint or Google Slides, while maintaining a professional presence on camera.
  • Be open to participating in special projects or cross-functional initiatives that support team goals, operational improvements, or strategic company objectives.

COMPETENCIES

  • Hands-on proficiency with email marketing platforms such as HubSpot, Mailchimp, or Constant Contact, including automation and drip campaign setup.
  • Working knowledge of CMS platforms (WordPress, Wix, Squarespace, or similar) for content updates and basic page management.
  • Experience managing CRM systems, particularly HubSpot, for contact management, segmentation, and pipeline visibility.
  • Understanding of email deliverability, list hygiene, and compliance (CAN-SPAM, CASL, GDPR basics).
  • Strong writing and editing skills, with the ability to adapt tone and messaging for different audiences.
  • Comfortable interpreting campaign analytics and translating data into actionable next steps.
  • Detail-oriented project management, able to juggle multiple campaigns and deadlines at once.
  • Collaborative mindset, working effectively with sales, design, and client success teams.
  • Basic familiarity with design tools (Canva or similar) for building simple email and web assets.
  • Knowledgeable in Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, Outlook, PowerPoint, Word) and CRM tools for productivity and reporting.

EXPERIENCE AND EDUCATION

  • 1+ years of experience in email marketing, digital marketing, or marketing operations.
  • Hands-on experience with a CRM platform (HubSpot preferred) for contact management and automation.
  • Experience updating or managing content within a CMS (WordPress preferred).
  • Experience with email marketing tools and campaign analytics/reporting.
  • Agency or small-business marketing experience is a plus.
  • Bachelor's Degree in Marketing, Communications, or a related field preferred.
