Job description

Job Description C2's client, a respected nonprofit organization supporting a national professional community through education, research, and professional development, seeks an Email Marketer to provide immediate execution support during a maternity leave. An affiliated organization is dedicated to promoting workplace wellness through education, resources, and member engagement. Working within a collaborative marketing team, this role owns email campaign execution from build through deployment, partnering with internal stakeholders to create, test, route, refine, and launch campaigns that reach the right audiences at the right time.

Success comes from stepping in quickly after a brief knowledge transfer and confidently managing the mechanics of email marketing with minimal ramp-up. This is an execution role, not a strategic or conceptual position. The person who thrives here enjoys building campaigns, solving problems independently, and keeping projects moving without needing direction on the fundamentals.

Copywriting is not the primary ask. The team often repurposes existing content or leverages AI-assisted drafts, but the right candidate is comfortable making copy edits and refinements when needed. Start Date: September 8, 2026 Duration: Full-time contract, approximately 5 months, end February 2027 Location: Hybrid, Brookfield, WI (onsite Tuesdays, Wednesdays, and Thursdays; remote Mondays and Fridays after training) Compensation: $32-$36/hour, commensurate with experience, as a W2 employee of C2 Benefits: C2 talent working 30+ hours/week for 30 consecutive business days are eligible for medical, dental, and optional vision insurance, life insurance and PTO accrual; 401(k) retirement plan with an employer match available for enrollment after 90 days Technology: Client provides hardware and software Responsibilities Build and execute email marketing campaigns end-to-end, including email creation, link testing, internal routing, revisions, and deployment to segmented audiences Manage the email marketing calendar while coordinating campaign schedules, audiences, and messaging with internal stakeholders Create targeted campaigns using AMS/CRM data and marketing automation platforms Support promotional messaging and make copy edits as needed while maintaining brand consistency across campaigns Track campaign performance and recommend improvements based on results Ensure compliance with email marketing regulations including CAN-SPAM, CCPA, GDPR, and CASL Requirements Five or more years of hands-on email marketing experience with demonstrated ownership of campaigns from build through deployment Experience with marketing automation platforms; Eloqua strongly preferred.

Experience with Constant Contact, Mailchimp, Pardot, HubSpot, Informz, or similar platforms will also be considered Experience using AMS or CRM platforms to build targeted audience segments and promotions Working knowledge of email marketing compliance requirements, including CAN-SPAM, CCPA, GDPR, and CASL Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple projects and deadlines simultaneously Excellent written and verbal communication skills Ability to step into an established marketing operation, learn quickly, and contribute with minimal ramp-up Bachelor's degree in Marketing or a related field, or an equivalent combination of education and relevant experience Nice to Have Experience with paid search or retargeting campaigns Agency experience or experience working within an agency-style marketing environment Experience supporting nonprofit, association, membership, or employee benefits organizations Not your type of gig, but know someone who would be interested.
