Job Summary:


The Email Marketing Specialist will report into the Sr. Email Marketing Manager. You will be responsible for coordinating the flow of email and SMS campaigns as well as targeted and automated communication for FitLab’s event brands, Ragnar and XPT. This will include building emails, tracking campaign performance, A/B testing, spearheading communication automation, supporting lead-generation strategies, and more. This role will be responsible for maintaining healthy databases, following email and SMS best practices, tracking spam and bounce rates, and playing a critical role in FitLab’s marketing offense. Most importantly, FitLab’s Email Marketing Specialist will be tasked with upholding FitLab’s mission of inspiring people to move.


Responsibilities:

  • Foster, support, and value diversity, equality, and inclusion in the workplace
  • Daily hands-on execution of email marketing campaigns
  • Build and optimize automated flows that support the business objectives
  • Monitor and analyze campaign results and provide recommendations on how to improve performance
  • Build and own the email campaign calendar in conjunction with brand managers
  • Ensure email campaigns content is compelling, accurate and on brand
  • Maintain healthy sending habits and monitor for any potential performance issues
  • Utilize project management software to align on project and campaign prioritization
  • Comfortable reviewing email copy and design for errors
Requirements:

Qualifications:

  • Minimum 4+ years’ experience leading successful email marketing campaigns and strategies.
  • Experienced people leader who has built, developed, and retained high-performing teams.
  • Proven experience leading communication strategies and execution of marketing initiatives.
  • Strong analytic skills and experience reporting on full funnel metrics
  • Experience in an advanced email platform, Klaviyo preferred
  • Fitness or related industry experience preferred
  • Proven experience in testing methodologies, versioning/personalization.
  • Strong organization and time management skills.
  • Ability to work independently as well as collaboratively.
  • Experience with Excel, PowerPoint, Google Docs, etc.
  • Clear and effective written and verbal communication and strong interpersonal skills.
