Location:

Must live within 35 miles of major airport

General Description:

The role is responsible for ensuring that Parkson-supplied equipment is properly integrated into the process operations of a wastewater treatment facility. You will be assessing customer needs, developing and implementing solutions, with a focus on meeting engineering and process specifications. The position requires effective communication, ensuring high customer satisfaction, and leveraging chemical knowledge to include Jar testing and equipment optimization.

Essential Functions:

  • Support water treatment authorities in making decisions regarding coagulation and flocculation dosing processes.
  • Work with the customer and the Parkson team to determine optimal dosage of coagulants and define actions to take to achieve treatment process optimization.
  • Leverage expertise in process automation, controls, and instrumentation to ensure systems are operating efficiently and processes are properly tuned.
  • Provide process support via phone, email, and on-site visits to address customer needs and ensure process requirements are met.
  • Train operators on Parkson equipment and process workflows to ensure a complete understanding of the entire process.
  • Collaborate with product managers and engineers to enhance equipment and process workflows, improving overall system performance.
  • Lead efforts to increase process efficiency, reduce variability, minimize downtime, and achieve cost savings at water/wastewater treatment facilities.
  • Assist with installations, and process modifications to ensure equipment meets process specifications.
  • Provide test support in-house and on-site to validate process performance and resolve process-related issues.
  • Comply with company and industry-based safety standards including proper use of PPE.
  • Effectively communicate service activity via written project/progress reports.
  • Perform other related duties as required.

Education:

  • Bachelor degree in Chemical, Environmental, Civil, or Mechanical Engineering.
  • An advanced degree is a plus.

Experience:

  • 3 to 5 years of relevant work experience with water and wastewater treatment systems, particularly focused on process startups in industrial or municipal sectors.
  • Proven water/wastewater process and mechanical startup experience is a plus.
  • Strong understanding of wastewater treatment processes, including hydraulics, chemistry, biology, and polymers, and their integration into equipment operations.
  • Experience troubleshooting and optimizing process controls to ensure efficient operation and compliance with environmental standards.

Knowledge, Skills & Abilities:

  • Excellent written skills that effectively communicate service and project activity.
  • Strong planning and organizing abilities โ€” skilled in prioritizing and planning work activities, using time efficiently, and developing realistic action plans.
  • Excellent problem-solving skills with the ability to multitask and prioritize effectively.
  • Strong oral communication skills โ€” able to speak clearly and persuasively in both positive and negative situations, demonstrate group presentation skills, and conduct meetings.
  • Experience with Microsoft Word, Excel, and Office applications.

Travel:

  • Ability to travel up to 90%, including international travel.
