Category: Food and Beverage Status: Non-Exempt Reports To: Beverage/Bar Manager Job Description The Cocktail Server at Ellis Island Casino will be responsible for delivering fast, friendly, and accurate beverage service to guests throughout the casino floor, bars, and lounge areas. The Cocktail Server will create a welcoming and fun atmosphere by engaging guests, remembering regulars, and providing attentive service that enhances the overall experience. This ideal candidate for this role requires someone who can work efficiently in a high-energy, fast-paced environment while maintaining the genuine, approachable hospitality that Ellis Island is known for.

Responsibilities Greet guests with a warm, approachable attitude and take beverage orders accurately and efficiently. Serve cocktails, beer, wine, and non-alcoholic beverages with speed and professionalism.

Maintain thorough knowledge of menu offerings, promotions, and casino events. Ensure all orders are prepared and delivered in a timely manner. Keep assigned sections clean, organized, and fully stocked throughout the shift.

Accurately process guest transactions using the POS system. Work closely with bartenders, barbacks, and fellow servers to maintain smooth service operations. Anticipate guest needs and offer prompt, proactive service.

Uphold all health, safety, and responsible alcohol service standards. Maintain a high standard of personal grooming and uniform appearance. Skills / Experience High school diploma or equivalent required.

Must be 21 years of age or older. At least 1 year of cocktail serving experience in a high-volume casino, bar, or restaurant environment. Strong knowledge of premium spirits, wine, beer, and craft cocktails.

Ability to work efficiently in a busy setting with strong attention to detail. Outstanding communication and interpersonal skills. Positive attitude and team-oriented mindset.

Ability to have a flexible schedule with availability for nights, weekends, and holidays as necessary. Must be able to obtain a Nevada Food Handlers Card. Must be able to obtain a Nevada TAM Card.

The ability to submit to a background check and drug test is required. Bonus Skills / Experience A genuine interest in guest satisfaction and local hospitality. Experience with upselling specialty drinks or promotions.

Interest in building long-term guest relationships. Team-first mentality with an eye for detail and presentation. Physical Requirements Work in an open-air environment and move throughout the space.

Must possess the ability to lift, bend, and kneel. Must be comfortable carrying trays, handling glassware, and navigating tight spaces. Must be able to stand or walk for an 8-hour shift.

Must be able to lift up to 25lbs without assistance. The ability to work in environments that can be smoky, noisy, hot, cold, or humid. This job description is not an exhaustive list of all functions required for this position.
