Brenda M. Elliott, DDS, is seeking a dedicated and skilled Registered Dental Hygienist (RDH) to join our small, friendly fee-for-service practice in Altavista, VA. This role is responsible for providing high-quality dental cleanings and assessments while prioritizing patient comfort and safety. The ideal candidate possesses excellent communication skills and a commitment to collaborative, professional patient care.
We are a small, established dental practice operating on a fee-for-service model, allowing us to focus entirely on delivering personalized, exceptional care without the constraints of managed insurance plans. Our environment is known for being friendly and supportive. We are committed to clinical excellence and fostering strong relationships with our patients and among our team members.

Job Description

Perform comprehensive dental cleanings, including scaling and polishing teeth, and conduct thorough patient assessments.
Educate patients on effective oral hygiene techniques and emphasize the importance of preventative dental health.
Review patient documentation and medical histories accurately to ensure precise treatment planning and safe care delivery.
Take necessary radiographs (X-rays) following clinical guidelines.
Implement and assist in aseptic techniques to strictly maintain a sterile working environment.
Maintain all patient records and documentation in compliance with HIPAA regulations, ensuring strict confidentiality.
Collaborate closely with the dentist and other clinical staff to ensure exceptional, coordinated patient care within the practice's systems.

Salary Range

Full-time $50 - $55 per hour
