This role is responsible for providing high-quality dental cleanings and assessments while prioritizing patient comfort and safety. Job Description

Perform comprehensive dental cleanings, including scaling and polishing teeth, and conduct thorough patient assessments.
Educate patients on effective oral hygiene techniques and emphasize the importance of preventative dental health.
Review patient documentation and medical histories accurately to ensure precise treatment planning and safe care delivery.
Take necessary radiographs (X-rays) following clinical guidelines.
Implement and assist in aseptic techniques to strictly maintain a sterile working environment.
Maintain all patient records and documentation in compliance with HIPAA regulations, ensuring strict confidentiality.
Collaborate closely with the dentist and other clinical staff to ensure exceptional, coordinated patient care within the practice's systems.

Salary Range

Full-time $50 - $55 per hour

Monday: 8:00 AM – 5:00 PM
Tuesday: 8:00 AM – 5:00 PM

Weekends: Closed

Requirements

Valid Dental Hygienist license in accordance with Virginia state regulations.
Strong knowledge of anatomy related to oral health and dental procedures.
Excellent interpersonal skills with the proven ability to communicate effectively and compassionately with both patients and team members.
Proficiency in documentation review and maintaining accurate patient records.
Commitment to ongoing professional development and strict adherence to industry standards in dental hygiene practices.

Preferences

Previous experience in a private dental office setting.
Familiarity with Eaglesoft or similar dental practice management software.
