Lead Preschool Teacher – Bambini Childcare Ellicott city

Full-Time | $18.00 – $22.00 per hour

Bambini Childcare in Ellicott City is seeking a dedicated and experienced Lead Preschool Teacher to join our early childhood education team. We’re looking for someone who brings both structure and warmth into the classroom—someone who understands that young children thrive when learning feels purposeful, safe, and joyful.

About the Role

As a Lead Preschool Teacher, you will guide a classroom of young learners (ages 2-5), creating an engaging environment that supports their social, emotional, and academic development. You’ll take ownership of curriculum planning, classroom management, and family communication.

Key Responsibilities

  • Develop and implement age-appropriate lesson plans aligned with early childhood standards
  • Create a nurturing, structured, and inclusive classroom environment
  • Observe, assess, and document children’s developmental progress
  • Maintain open, consistent communication with parents and guardians
  • Supervise and support assistant teachers
  • Ensure compliance with Maryland licensing and safety regulations
  • Encourage curiosity, independence, and positive social behavior

Qualifications

  • Minimum 90-hour Preschool Certification (Maryland requirement)
  • At least 1 year of preschool teaching experience
