Job description

POSITION PURPOSE; Ensure that day-to-day operations of the club is run in an efficient, profitable and professional manor.

JOB DESCRIPTION; Running the day-to-day operations of the club and maintaining liquor license in your name.

● Sole responsibility for upstairs and downstairs bar and kitchen operations when on duty and on-call after hours. Determine staff needs and recruit staff. Communicate Lodge policy, standards, and procedures to staff and ensure that staff meet standards and objectives (proper pours in the bar and proper portion control for food service).

● Management and supervision of staff; bartenders and kitchen staff to include delegation of duties and tasks to staff to meet objectives and maximize resources. May delegate scheduling / duties to a Senior/Lead bartender who schedules in accordance with labor regulations.

● Accountable for accurate cash handling and all guest accounts. Responsible for operations, programming, and maintenance of the Oracle Point of Sale system (micros 3700). Setup, maintain, and audit bartender draws(daily banks).

● Manage Large member functions within the members lounge.

● Organizing promotions- “Marketing the Club”. Coordinate with the Lodge’s entertainment committee to plan special event, bar promotions, and meal specials using various marketing techniques. Staff training- increased productivity and customer satisfaction.

● Efficient ordering of stock- ordering and maintaining all stock, including liquor, bar food and cleaning supplies. Adjust menu items on sales data to include cost of goods, profit margins, and customer demand

● Work with vendors to obtain “most favored customer” pricing from vendors, as well as obtaining “special pricing” on select items for special event Lodge/Club/functions/events. Monitor Cleanliness and hygiene of bar and kitchen areas.

Coordinate with the Function Manager to maximize profits of the Function Room. ● Supervise and manage all lottery operations.

● Create and maintain budgeting for bar and kitchen areas.

● Other duties and responsibilities as requested by the Governing Body of the Gloucester Elks Lodge #892.

Required Certifications:

● TIPS Certification

● ServSafe Certification (to be obtained within 90 days of employment) Compensation

● Annual Salary of $60,000 to be paid weekly

● Vacation time- 2 weeks awarded yearly after 90 days of employment
