About the Role:
As a Cook, you will play a vital role in preparing and delivering high-quality meals that meet our establishment's standards and delight our customers. You will be responsible for executing recipes accurately, maintaining kitchen cleanliness, and ensuring food safety protocols are strictly followed. This position requires working efficiently in a fast-paced environment while collaborating closely with kitchen staff to manage inventory and minimize waste. Your expertise will contribute directly to the overall dining experience, supporting both front-of-house and back-of-house operations. Ultimately, your work will help uphold our reputation for excellent cuisine and customer satisfaction across all service periods.
Minimum Qualifications:
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- Previous experience working as a cook or in a similar food preparation role.
- Basic knowledge of food safety and sanitation standards.
- Ability to follow recipes and instructions accurately.
- Capability to work standing for extended periods and handle kitchen equipment safely.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Culinary school certification or formal culinary training.
- Experience working in a fast-paced restaurant or hospitality environment.
- Familiarity with various cooking techniques and cuisines.
- Food handlerโs certification or equivalent health and safety credentials.
- Strong teamwork and communication skills.
Responsibilities:
- Prepare and cook menu items according to standardized recipes and presentation guidelines.
- Maintain cleanliness and organization of the kitchen, including proper storage of ingredients and sanitation of workstations.
- Monitor food quality and portion sizes to ensure consistency and minimize waste.
- Collaborate with kitchen team members to coordinate meal preparation and timely service.
- Adhere to all health and safety regulations, including proper handling and storage of food products.
- Assist in inventory management by reporting stock levels and notifying supervisors of shortages.
- Support training and mentoring of junior kitchen staff as needed.
