Job description

Position Summary:


Global Asset Security is seeking a highly alert, professional, and detail-oriented Security Operations Center (SOC) Operator to join our team. The SOC Operator plays a critical role in ensuring the safety and security of our clients' properties and personnel by monitoring CCTV systems, coordinating field operations, maintaining radio communications, and dispatching officers or law enforcement in response to incidents.


Key Responsibilities:

  • CCTV Monitoring:
    Continuously monitor live video surveillance systems for suspicious or unauthorized activity across multiple client sites.
  • Officer Activity Tracking:
    Track and verify the movements, patrols, and status updates of on-duty security officers using GuardConnect or other tracking software.
  • Radio Communication:
    Serve as the central communication hub, maintaining clear and professional radio communication with all field officers.
  • Dispatching & Incident Response:
    Dispatch security personnel to incidents, alarms, or service requests in real-time. Contact local law enforcement or emergency services when necessary.
  • Escalation & Reporting:
    Immediately escalate high-risk incidents to supervisors or management as per protocol. Document all incidents and responses in detailed activity logs.
  • Client Communication:
    Serve as a point of contact for clients during the shift. Provide incident updates, coordinate access, and ensure transparency and responsiveness.


Qualifications:

  • High school diploma or equivalent required; associate degree in criminal justice or related field preferred.
  • Prior experience in a command center, dispatch, or security control room environment is highly desirable.
  • Proficient in CCTV monitoring software, radio communication procedures, and incident reporting systems.
  • Ability to multitask in high-pressure situations with excellent situational awareness.
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills.
  • Dependable, punctual, and able to work independently with minimal supervision.


Working Conditions:

  • This is a full-time, on-site role with a fixed schedule from 10:00 PM to 6:00 AM, Monday through Friday.
  • Must be able to sit for extended periods and maintain focus on multiple screens.
  • May be required to respond to emergency situations outside of regular hours as needed.
