The Custodian is responsible for maintaining the overall cleanliness of the building that he/she is assigned to. he/she will be responsible for completing the daily duties provided to him/her by the supervisor. the custodian will be responsible for team cleaning and individual cleaning.constant communication with the supervisor is key to making sure the duties are completed.Essential Tasks-Conduct regular inspections of the assigned area.-follow job duties that the supervisor assigns.-Cross train in different areas.-Provide excellent customer service.-Inform supervisor of broken equipment and fill stations that do not work properly.Duties that you could be asked to complete in the building you are assigned to,-Sweep Floors-Mop floors-dust-clean restrooms-take out trash-vacuum -Disinfect touch points and surfaces-Clean glass doors and windows-Clean and polish drinking fountains-Clean kitchens/break rooms-Sweep, mop stairwells-Wipe down handrails in stairwells-Clean and polish elevators-Keep custodial closet clean and organized*you will be provided a building specific schedule, however the above tasks are companywide and you could be asked to perform such duties at any time.*Knowledge, skills and abilities-Must be self motivated-must have positive attitude-Attention to detail-Organized skills-Must be able to manage time-Must have a desire to maintain cleanliness-Must be able to communicate effectively with the supervisor-Ability to learn and properly utilize machines/equipment
