Job description

**This position is located in Hayward, CA**

POSITION SUMMARY:

Manage all Branch Operations and Sales activities for the branch. Oversee all aspects of profitability fulfilling the contract obligations of Mitsubishi Electric US, Inc., Elevator/Escalator Division (EED) to its customers. Ensure projects are properly managed including but not limited to, Project Engineering, Project Management to ensure projects are on schedule and budget. Oversee Service to ensure customer obligations are met and sales and profit goals attained. Oversee sales efforts to meet established booking and service sales plans, managing the product mix in accordance with the business plan goals and objectives. Ensure compliance with corporate guidelines, quality requirements and safety requirements.

The essential functions of the position include, but are not limited to the following:

  • Manage directly or indirectly all branch personnel.
  • Manage branch activities to ensure business plan revenue and gross profit goals and bookings objectives are met.
  • Ensure that operating expenses are managed to approved business plan.
  • Direct general Hayward branch office administrative needs (ex. All physical plant needs, maintenance matters, etc). Act as key point of contact for Hayward branch office facility.
  • As necessary, directly handle project-specific sales, project management, service account management, and field management.
  • Prepare reports as required.
  • Diligently follow IPM process.
  • Monitor financial activities of Branch including A/R, A/P, labor hours and cash flow and provide timely directives to ensure targets, goals and objectives are met.
  • Monitor activities of all Field Operations (service , new construction and modernization) and act as primary resource for operational directives and conflict resolution. Manage field teams each year to improve overall field labor efficiency from previous years. Responsible for managing directly or indirectly all field activities for Hayward branch, including hiring/termination/layoffs, ensuring compliance with EED IIPP.
  • Oversee sales activities to provide assistance with bid proposals and negotiations and appropriate guidance to meet both short-term and long-term goals and objectives, for service (all aspects), new installation and modernization sales.
  • Direct branch activities in such a way to ensure customer satisfaction and service customer retention per company objectives. Maintain excellent client relations.
  • Utilize Total Service, HOS, Salesforce, EOP and other division specific computer tools. Ensure that appropriate staff fully utilize Salesforce.
  • Coordinate, track and clearly communicate cross- and interdepartmental activities.
  • Ensure compliance with Corporate Governance, MEUS & EED Operational & IIPP policies.
  • Strictly follow all established EED policies and procedures.
  • Maintain strong rapport with local industry professionals.
  • Manage service business in such a way that call back objectives are achieved as well as EED / MELCO quality standards.
  • Participate significantly in Strategic Planning Committees as part of EED Vision.
  • Maximize cross-sales efforts amongst MEUS / MEUH companies and divisions.
  • Be willing to wear many hats and be flexible to ensure compliance with the above requirements.
  • Perform other job functions as assigned.

EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE:

  • Bachelors degree or equivalent experience.
  • 5+ years of elevator industry experience or equivalent preferred
  • Minimum 5 years branch operations experience required
  • Microsoft Office suite including PowerPoint, Project, Excel and Word.
  • Ability to build dynamic and diverse teams and foster enthusiasm and respect for the individuals and their work.

The pay range for this position at commencement of employment is expected to be between $149,600 and $205,700/year; however, base pay offered may vary depending on multiple individualized factors, including market location, job-related knowledge, skills, and experience. The total compensation package for this position may also include other elements, including commissions based on achieving individual performance and/or sales metrics, incentive compensation and discretionary awards in addition to a full range of medical, financial, and/or other benefits (including 401(k) eligibility and various paid time off benefits, such as vacation, sick time, and parental leave), dependent on the position offered. Details of participation in these additional compensation and benefit plans will be provided if an employee receives an offer of employment.

If hired, employee will be in an at-will position and the Company reserves the right to modify base salary (as well as any other discretionary payment or compensation program) at any time, including for reasons related to individual performance, Company or individual department/team performance, and market factors.
