Indotronix is seeking a Mechanical Design Engineer for a Job Opportunity in Florence SC
Job Title: Mechanical Design Engineer
Location: Florence SC 29501
Duration: 12 Months Contract
Max Pay: $31/hr to $35.11/hr on W2

Job Description :
The Mechanical Designer position is responsible for modeling and drawing generation of a wide range of mechanical hardware and components designed for use in elevator systems.
The candidate should not only be adept at handling typical design tasks (modeling and detailing) but must be able to effectively communicate cross-functionally.
The designer will be member of the Design Services Group operating out of Florence South Carolina that is home to the North American System Elevator Engineering, Manufacturing, and Supply Chain operations
Responsibilities:
Provide design support to internal and external customers
Modify and develop new component solutions to increase product robustness
Support and resolve engineering issues
Develop component and system level models and drawings
Support cost reduction efforts
Required Skill Set :
Experience Requirements:
5 to 7 years minimum experience in 3D solid modeling and 2D detailing using Creo.
Experience using Windchill
Strong communications skills.
Ability to work effectively within a team environment.
High energy and passion for innovation and creativity.
Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Outlook).
Desired Skills Set :
Knowledge in manufacturing processes (sheetmetal fabrication, welding, castings and molds, and general machining operations).
Ability to apply GD&T to parts and assemblies per design requirements.
Ability to perform tolerance analysis calculations.
Education Qualification :
Minimum: Associates Degree in Computer Aided Drafting/Design or equivalent experience. Years of experience in-lieu of degree will be considered.
