Job description

White Elephant Palm Beach is currently looking for a Staff Accountant who is responsible for accounting needs for the hotel, including accounts payable, accounts receivable, and payroll.

The right candidate will have at least 2 years’ experience in a hotel accounting environment and already possess full knowledge and understanding of receivables, payables, income journal and payroll.  Must have great attention to detail and experience with Excel and Microsoft office products.

*BS or BA in Finance Accounting preferred

Essential job functions include the ability to:

  • Maintain complete knowledge of and comply with all departmental policies/service procedures/standards
  • Process and run payroll
  • Be able to review general ledger and look for discrepancies
  • Process monthly taxes
  • Reconcile balance sheet accounts as directed 
  • Ensure Accounts Receivable meets minimum standards
  • Provide trainings in operations as needed
  • Take on tasks/projects as provided by Controller

Applicants should also work well under pressure, possess excellent communication skills, be organized, flexible and self-motivated.
