Job description

The Elementary Paraprofessional provides student assistance for 2, 3 & 4 Grade students under professional guidance and supervision of 2, 3 & 4 teachers in the district. Elementary paraprofessionals work with children individually or in small groups by providing basic instruction in abilities and skills developmentally appropriate to the student. This position is also responsible for assisting the teachers in a variety of settings and with a variety of scheduled activities for the successful operation of the program.  This position reports to the Principal and Special Education Director.

The candidate must be able to demonstrate flexibility to help where needed, be able to handle confidential materials and respect confidentiality.  
We currently have two openings for this position with an August 2026 start date.
Starting wage is $15.75 per hour.  Summers and student breaks off, IPERS eligible from day one, insurance benefits available, paid holidays along with other paid time off.
