Who are we looking for?

As a Technical Specialist, you will bring deep technical expertise and strong problem-solving capabilities to support the development and optimization of advanced surface finishing applications. A strong background in Anti-Corrosion zinc and zinc-alloy based finishing process technology is highly valued and will enable you to make an immediate impact in this role.

You will contribute to cross-functional innovation projects, applying your knowledge to solve complex technical challenges and deliver high-quality, scalable solutions for industrial applications.

While working within your core area of expertise, you will also have the opportunity to broaden your technical scope across a diverse range of products, processes and application technologies. This role requires curiosity, adaptability, and a willingness to continuously expand your skillset in a dynamic, innovation-driven environment.

What will you be doing?
  • Apply your technical expertise to develop, optimize, and support andvanced Surface finishing solutions, with a particular focus on Anti-Corrosion technologies
  • Design, execute, and analyze technical studies and trials, ensuring robust documentation of results and clear communication of findings to support Project progress and decision-making.
  • Identify technical challenges in real-world applications and develop practical, data-driven solutions. Where needed, translate unmet application needs into structured development opportunities.
  • Collaborate closely with cross-functional teams to bring new solutions from concept through validation into industrial application, including supporting producto testing and field implementation.
  • Engage directly with further teams, customers and industry stakeholders to understand requirements, support qualification processes, and ensure successful adoption of new technologies.
  • Develop and maintain high-quality technical documentation and training materials to support knowledge transfer and enable effective use of technologies by internal and external stakeholders.

This role requires demonstrated, hands-on experience with electroplated anti-corrosion finishes based on zinc and zinc-alloy systems, which is essential for success in this position.

  • Technical degree in Chemistry, Material Science, or Physics strongly preferred.  Five+ years of relevant experience in the electroplating or related industry is required.
  • Hands-on technical service experience in electroplating and associated chemical processes is strongly desired.  Will need to be able to work in our pilot lines and in production environments at customers when needed.
  • Functional spoken and written English.  Multilingual capability is a major advantage.
  • Good to excellent data analysis and presentation skills, with the ability to represent MacDermid Enthone positively and effectively through written and presented materials.
  • Good to excellent PC skills, especially Microsoft Office products.
  • Project management & intercultural cooperation skills
  • Willingness and ability to travel domestically and globally (travel may exceed 25% on occasion)
