Position Overview

The Siemens EDA Global Support team is seeking a dynamic support manager for the HyperLynx tool suite who thrives on empowering customers and driving innovation. Leveraging deep EDA expertise and strong PCB analysis and design skills, this individual will manage a team that works directly with internal and external customers to resolve complex technical challenges. They will also partner with account teams to grow product usage and strategize campaign approaches.

Responsibilities include, but are not limited to the following activities
  • Lead and inspire a diverse, global team of highly skilled Support Engineers
  • Proactively identify trends in the customer base and overall market to help assess product performance and acceptance in the market.
  • Leverage data analytics to provide summaries of team performance, accomplishments, and strategic challenges
  • Interface with customers and Electronic Board Systems engineering to facilitate vital two-way feedback for continuous improvement.
  • Actively engage in internal and external customer-facing meetings, fostering strong relationships and understanding evolving needs.
  • Collaborate with sales teams to craft and deliver innovative solutions that address complex customer requirements.
  • Provide proactive customer feedback into Product Marketing and Engineering to drive improvement and future evolution of the product line.
  • Represent Siemens EDA and HyperLynx expertise at key marketing and sales events, including workshops and seminars, to showcase value and engage with the broader community
Required Qualifications
  • Demonstrated broad knowledge of electrical system design.
  • Understanding and practical experience with PCB analysis tools such as HyperLynx, Sigrity, Ansys or similar.
  • Understanding and familiarity with PCB design tools such as Xpedition Enterprise, Cadence Allegro, Altium or similar.
  • Familiarity with AI/ML concepts and a vision for their application to enhance support processes and customer solutions
  • Self-motivated with the ability to work independently but collaboratively and to thrive in a fast-paced and evolving product and technical environment.
  • Ability to lead and motivate a high-performing team of professional support engineers.
  • Exceptional interpersonal skills with a demonstrated ability to build strong rapport and credibility with diverse customer organizations while maintaining an internal network of contacts.
  • Excellent organizational skills with the capacity to effectively prioritize and manage multiple complex tasks and critical customer issues simultaneously.
  • Strong technical communication skills and presentation skills capable of articulating complex concepts clearly and persuasively to both technical and non-technical audiences.
  • BSEE or BSME, 10+ years of electrical system design experience desired.
Preferred Qualifications
  • Strong project management and communication skills – both written and verbal. Prior project management experience a plus
  • Prior role in team leadership
Working Conditions/Physical Requirements
  • Role will be hybrid with some flexibility in location.
  • Will support discussions in various time zones, so virtual meetings outside of home time zone will sometimes be necessary.

This position will be subject to U.S. export control requirements under the International Traffic in Arms Regulations (ITAR) and/or Export Administration Regulations (EAR). Employment is contingent on either verifying the U.S. Person status or obtaining any necessary export license.

The pay range for this position is $129,600 - $233,300 annually with a target incentive of 5-10% of the base salary. The actual wage offered may be lower or higher depending on budget and candidate experience, knowledge, skills, qualifications, and premium geographic location.
