Job description

Summary
As an Electronics Technician for our RF department, you will rapidly prototype antennas designs. In this role, you will support RF Engineers in the design, build, and test of new RF apertures and concepts.
Key Responsibilities
  • Assist RF Engineers in designing, building, and testing
  • Provide input for design reviews, proposals, specifications and work standards
  • Develop, build procedures, processes and training to help transition newly developed products into production
  • Machining and mechanical skills to build and test prototypes
  • Understanding of the principles of high-speed digital design and RF circuit design

Required Education and Experience
  • Must have U.S. citizenship and ability to obtain a U.S. Security Clearance
  • Associate's degree in Electronics and Computer Technology or equivalent
  • Mechanical and machining skills to build
  • RF equipment knowledge to test prototypes
  • Proven ability to independently bring up new designs, including the ability to lead others in the bring-up of new designs
  • Experience with hot-air guns, reflow ovens, and solder stencils
  • Ability for light mechanical assembly with common hand tools
  • Strong communication skills, ability to solve problems and work effectively within deadlines

Position Type/Expected Hours of Work
This is a full-time position at 40 hours per week. Typical office hours include Monday-Friday, 8:00am-4:30pm; however, these hours may vary based on workload and the manager's discretion.
Travel
No travel is expected for this position.

While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to talk or hear. Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision and ability to adjust focus. This would require the ability to lift files, open filing cabinets, and bend or stand on a stool as necessary. The employee will also regularly be seated at a desk and using a computer.
