Job summary
Under limited supervision, perform test, inspect and rework/repair electronic components, surface mount and through hole assemblies, and subassemblies using a variety of test equipment and procedures. Work on problems of moderate scope where analysis of situations or data requires a review of identifiable factors and a considerable degree of judgment.
Summary of essential job functions
·       Perform testing and programming per provided instructions
·       Perform inspection, identify component values and orientation using documentation
·       Support production with failure analysis, failures repairs, tester set-up and debugging, reduction of false failures and downtime of test equipment.
·       Qualify test fixtures, equipment, automated software, and test procedures specific to customer requirements.
Other duties and responsibilities
·       Fundamental knowledge of design, operation and components of PCB manufacturing.
·       Understanding of general equipment testing, evaluation and calibration techniques
·       Through-hole and SMD solder, rework (remove and replace) capability
·       Comply with all safety policies, practices and procedures.
·       Report all unsafe activities to supervisor and/or Human Resources
·       Participate in proactive team efforts to achieve company goals
·       Perform other duties as assigned
Minimum requirements
·       Familiar with IPC 610 standards or greater
·       Must be able to read and understand both analog and digital circuits schematics
·       Must be knowledgeable using basic troubleshoot equipment (i.e. digital multimeters, oscilloscopes, frequency meter, signal generator)
·      Must have good knowledge on using windows based PC’s and windows applications (Linux and Unix is a plus)
·       Must be able to rework (solder/desolder) electronic SMD components (including fine pitch and leadless components)
·       Must be able to recognize, identify and read values on electronics components
·       Must be able to read and understand printed instructions, diagrams and bills of materials
·       Must have good knowledge on programming various electronic devices (i.e. all types of memories, processors)
·       Be able to perform light physical activity performing non-strenuous daily activities of a productive/technical nature
·       Manual dexterity sufficient to reach/handle items, works with the fingers, and perceive attributes of objects and materials
