Job description

Product Tester

We are high volume ecommerce company that sells a wide array of products across many online platforms. We specialize in photography, electronics, audio, and houseware products. Every day we ship thousands of orders to customers, and small percentage of those orders come back to us as customer returns.

We are looking for a Product tester to inspect and test the functionality and condition of those returned products as part of our recovery operations. This position is located within our Returns Department in our North Brunswick, NJ Warehouse.

In this role you will inspect the returned products to ensure they are in good condition and have all their accessories. You will be inspecting a variety of electronics including cameras, printers, binoculars, headphones, microphones, speakers, amps, coffee makers, blenders, etc. Experience with audio equipment, guitars, or other personal electronics is highly preferred for this position.

Our company has been in business for over 50 years and employs over 175 people across three locations (Brooklyn HQ, NJ warehouse, NJ satellite office). Our employees are passionate, smart, hardworking, and considerate - and together they accomplish great things.

Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Inspect functionality and condition of returned merchandise
  • Maintain a log on condition of each product
  • Maintain organized workspace and product flow
  • Enter product information into inventory system

Requirements:

  • Hands on knowledge of cameras, audio (i.e. headphones) and electronic products preferred
  • Experience and knowledge of guitars is a plus
  • Detail oriented
  • Minimum of 2 years product experience
  • Comfortable using computers
  • Attention to detail
  • Candidate must be authorized to work in the US.
  • Good communication skills
  • This position requires standing, bending, kneeling, walking and may include climbing short ladders.
