Job description

The purpose of this position is to get temporary help to assist in the completion of the Federal Bridge File Project. This project is estimated to last for about six (6) months but may be extended if necessary.
Responsibilities:
·     Accountable for the compilation of documents to complete each bridge file within the state.
·     Interweave the state provided business systems to complete the bridge documentation.
·     If the state business systems can’t provide the completion of a bridge documentation, the incumbent will thoroughly research the “As Builts” record and reach out to the Archive Department to complete the bridge file. This work is complex and dynamic.
Qualifications:
·     Logical thinker, familiar with research techniques and not be afraid to ask questions.
·     Intermediate to advance excel user.
This bridge clerk/researcher is expected to perform the following tasks but not limited to: 
·     Conduct file research on required bridges.
·     Properly identify the bridges and catalog.
·     Convert the hard copy documentations to electronic file; through scanning (pdf), index and store at the temporary location.
·     If any existing TIFs file are found, these files must be converted to pdf.
·     A thorough audit for each bridge file is expected and documented for any anomalies (if exist). A random audit will be performed by the supervisor.
·     A written justification is required for incomplete bridge file (after a thorough research is done).
·     Record the daily bridge file completion.
·     Create a monthly report analysis of the bridge file (as needed).
