Job Title: Area Manager - Shipping and Receiving - 2nd Shift - Location: Hancock County Ohio Area
Wintegrity is searching for an experienced Shipping & Receiving Supervisor - 2nd Shift to oversee daily shipping and receiving operations within a fast-paced manufacturing environment. The ideal candidate will have strong leadership skills, experience with shipping logistics, forklift operation, inventory control, and customer shipping requirements. This role is responsible for ensuring the safe, accurate, and timely movement of materials while maintaining compliance with customer specifications and company standards.
KEY COMPETENCIES:
  • 2+ years of Shipping & Receiving experience in a manufacturing environment.
  • Forklift/HiLo operation experience.
  • Strong knowledge of shipping, receiving, inventory control, and logistics processes.
  • Experience analyzing customer shipping requirements and creating shipping schedules.
  • Knowledge of Electronic Data Interchange (EDI) transactions.
  • Strong leadership and team coordination skills.
  • Excellent communication and customer service abilities.
  • Detail-oriented with strong organizational and problem-solving skills.
  • Computer proficiency with Microsoft Office and manufacturing software (Plex experience preferred).
  • Commitment to continuous improvement, safety, and quality.
DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES:
  • Analyze customer shipping requirements and create shipping schedules to meet customer delivery expectations.
  • Coordinate the safe storage, loading, and unloading of products while maintaining product quality.
  • Prepare and verify all shipping documentation for accuracy and compliance.
  • Process Electronic Data Interchange (EDI) transactions as required by customers.
  • Schedule inbound and outbound freight and coordinate transportation with carriers.
  • Provide daily direction and leadership to the Shipping & Receiving team and Team Leader, assigning priorities and monitoring workflow.
  • Maintain accurate records of customer releases, shipping documentation, pricing, billing destinations, and inventory transactions.
  • Order shipping supplies to maintain adequate inventory levels.
  • Build and maintain positive customer relationships while serving as a backup customer contact when needed.
  • Participate in rotating weekend coverage as required.
  • Lead and support continuous improvement initiatives within the Shipping & Receiving Department.
  • Ensure compliance with company safety policies, quality standards, and operating procedures.
  • Foster a respectful, collaborative, and team-oriented work environment.
  • Perform additional duties and special projects as assigned.
QUALIFICATIONS:
  • Minimum of 2 years of Shipping & Receiving experience in a manufacturing environment required.
  • Previous supervisory or team leadership experience preferred.
  • Experience in the automotive manufacturing industry preferred.
  • Advanced Forklift/Hilo operating experience.
  • Strong computer skills and proficiency with Microsoft Office applications.
  • Experience with Plex Manufacturing Software preferred.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  • Strong organizational, analytical, and problem-solving abilities.
  • Ability to prioritize multiple tasks in a fast-paced manufacturing environment.
  • Demonstrated leadership skills with the ability to motivate and develop team members.
EDUCATION:
  • Bachelor's degree in Materials Management, Supply Chain Management, Logistics, Business, or a related field preferred.
CERTIFICATION:
  • Forklift/Hilo Advanced Certification preferred (or ability to obtain upon hire).
  • Valid Driver's License preferred.
