About the Job

We are seeking a Software Engineering Manager to support the technology portfolio for Electronic Communication Compliance (eComm). This role will provide day-to-day people leadership for the engineering team and help drive execution, operational health, vendor coordination, and delivery priorities that enable the company's ability to meet its regulatory obligations for electronic communications monitoring, surveillance, retention, and compliance.

The manager will partner closely with Compliance, Enterprise Technology teams, and external vendors to support and evolve our compliance technology ecosystem while helping the team execute against business priorities, emerging communication channels, and changing regulatory requirements. This role is critical to ensuring stability, effectiveness, and continuous improvement of technology solutions that support enterprise risk management and compliance objectives.
What You'll Do

  • Provide people leadership for product and engineering team members, including coaching, performance management, hiring support, onboarding, succession planning, and career development.
  • Manage vendor relationships for eComm capabilities and vendor-supported platforms, including coordination, issue follow-up, escalation tracking, delivery commitments, roadmap alignment, and service performance.
  • Lead the team's response to production issues, ensuring timely triage, clear ownership, root cause analysis, remediation, and communication to impacted partners.
  • Translate compliance, product, and operational priorities into clear team execution plans, balancing regulatory obligations, delivery capacity, technical dependencies, and long-term platform health.
  • Support planning and delivery discipline across the team, including backlog health, sprint readiness, dependency management, and follow-through on committed work.
  • Partner closely with Compliance, Risk, Legal, and Enterprise Technology stakeholders to support electronic communications surveillance capabilities, records retention requirements, and evolving communication technologies.
  • Surface risks, blockers, and tradeoffs early with clear context, options, and recommended next steps for leadership and partner alignment.
  • Drive operational excellence across the team's portfolio, ensuring reliable service delivery, strong controls, and alignment with enterprise compliance objectives.
What You'll Bring to the Role
  • Bachelor's Degree or equivalent experience.
  • 4-5 years of professional experience required.
  • 3-5+ years of experience working with modern engineering tools, platforms, and software delivery practices.
  • 1-2 years of technical leadership experience, with or without direct reports.
  • Proven track record of successfully designing and delivering significant and impactful technology solutions within complex enterprise environments.
  • Experience developing and leading solution delivery using Agile methods.
  • Experience supporting business-critical applications, operational platforms, or compliance-related technology solutions.
  • Experience working with third-party vendors and vendor-supported technology platforms.
  • Experience supporting electronic communications monitoring, surveillance, regulatory compliance, records retention, cybersecurity, governance, risk management, or related compliance technology platforms is highly preferred.
  • Familiarity with compliance technology, risk management, or other highly regulated business environments is preferred.
  • Capable of communicating effectively between product, engineering, compliance, and business stakeholders.
  • Ability to successfully communicate with both technical and non-technical audiences in varying forms and levels of detail.
  • Leads teams to collaboration, accountability, and continuous improvement.
