Electro Mechanic I
Position Summary
The Electro Mechanic I is responsible for maintaining, troubleshooting, and repairing electrical and mechanical systems in a manufacturing or industrial environment. This role supports production uptime by performing preventive maintenance and addressing equipment failures in a fastโpaced, highโvolume facility.
This is an entry to mid-level role, ideal for candidates with hands-on experience in industrial maintenance, electrical systems, and mechanical repair.
Shift Details
Both daytime and nighttime shifts are 12-hour continental shift
(3 days one week, 4 days the following, off every other weekend)
Must be flexible to work overtime and weekends as needed
- Daytime (1st shift): 5:45 AM โ 6:15 PM
Pay Rate: $37.43 โ $39.85/hour (depending on experience)
- Nighttime (3rd Shift): 5:45 PM โ 6:15 AM
Pay Rate
$36.34 โ $39.85/hour (+$2.00/hour shift differential depending on experience)
Key Responsibilities
- Perform preventive and corrective maintenance on industrial equipment
- Troubleshoot and repair electrical systems, motors, sensors, and control panels
- Diagnose mechanical issues involving conveyors, pumps, gearboxes, and hydraulics
- Read and interpret blueprints, schematics, and technical manuals
- Support production teams to minimize downtime and maximize efficiency
- Ensure compliance with safety regulations and company procedures
- Document maintenance activities and repairs performed
- Assist senior technicians on complex repairs and installations
Required Qualifications
- 1+ year of electro-mechanical or industrial maintenance experience
- Basic understanding of electrical (AC/DC) and mechanical systems
- Experience with hand tools, power tools, and diagnostic equipment
- Ability to read technical diagrams and schematics
- Comfortable working in a manufacturing or industrial environment
- Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving skills
Preferred Qualifications
- Technical degree or certification in:
- Electrical Technology
- Mechatronics
- Industrial Maintenance
- Experience with:
- PLCs (basic exposure)
- Conveyor systems
- Automated machinery
Physical Requirements
- Ability to lift up to 50 lbs
- Standing, walking, bending, and kneeling for extended periods
- Working in industrial environments (noise, temperature variations)
Work Environment
- Manufacturing / production facility
- Exposure to moving equipment and machinery
- Required use of PPE (Personal Protective Equipment)
