We are seeking a Massachusetts Journeyman Electrician to support electrical maintenance and reliability within an industrial manufacturing facility. This role is responsible for installing, maintaining, troubleshooting, and repairing electrical systems, production equipment, and facility infrastructure in compliance with Massachusetts Electrical Code (527 CMR 12.00 / NEC) and company safety standards.


This position works closely with Maintenance, Engineering, and Production teams to ensure safe, reliable, and efficient operation of manufacturing equipment and automated systems.

Requirements

Core Responsibilities

  • Install, maintain, and repair electrical systems in accordance with Massachusetts electrical licensing regulations and NEC requirements
  • Troubleshoot industrial equipment, motor controls, and power distribution systems
  • Maintain and repair production equipment including mixers, presses, conveyors, curing ovens, and automated manufacturing systems
  • Perform conduit installation, panel wiring, motor connections, and control wiring
  • Support preventative and predictive maintenance programs
  • Read and interpret electrical schematics, wiring diagrams, and equipment manuals
  • Assist with equipment installations, upgrades, and capital projects
  • Follow and enforce LOTO, OSHA safety practices
  • Maintain documentation of electrical work and maintenance activities
  • Coordinate with external licensed contractors when required

Required Qualifications

  • Valid Massachusetts Journeyman Electrician License
  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • Minimum 3-5+ years of electrical experience in an industrial or manufacturing environment
  • Strong understanding of:
    • Motor controls
    • 3-phase power systems
    • Industrial equipment wiring
    • Electrical troubleshooting
  • Ability to work independently within scope of MA Journeyman licensing requirements
  • Willingness to work overtime or flexible hours as needed

Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience with PLC systems and industrial automation
  • Experience supporting rubber, plastics, or heavy manufacturing equipment
  • Familiarity with preventative maintenance systems
  • OSHA safety trainingย
