Technical
โข ย ย Degree: Bachelorโs or Masterโs degree in Electrical Engineering
โข ย ย Registered Professional Engineer License preferred
โข ย ย 5-10 yearsโ experience preferredย
โข ย ย Demonstrated ability to lead electrical design projects
โข ย ย Demonstrate project management skills.
โข ย ย Experience using NEC, AutoCAD, ETAP/SKM, and Revit requiredย

Job Duties:ย
Pre-Design Engineeringย
โข ย ย Perform field surveys for the design of electrical systems, gather information, and prepare site assessment reports.
โข ย ย Prepare electrical schematic designs.
Design Engineeringย
โข ย ย Design power single line and riser diagramsย
โข ย ย Perform electrical calculations (arc flash, coordination, short circuit, voltage drop, load flow) using ETAP/SKM.
โข ย ย Design low voltage and medium voltage infrastructure.ย
โข ย ย Design for electrical equipment (substation, switchboard, transformer, panelboard) replacement projects.
โข ย ย Understand and utilize CAD/BIM standards.
โข ย ย Have a working knowledge of National Electrical Code, Washington Codes and Energy Standards to design electrical systems.
โข ย ย Coordination among different disciplines, such as mechanical, plumbing, telecom, civil, structural, and architectural. Work in close contact with the entire design team.
Project Management
โข ย ย Lead projects with a service-first mindset, ensuring client expectations are met through clear communication and technically sound, high-quality deliverables
โข ย ย Oversee electrical design for small to medium-sized projects while fostering collaboration and empowering emerging professionals
โข ย ย Mentor junior design engineers by sharing knowledge, encouraging innovation, and reinforcing a culture of continuous learning
โข ย ย Support the preparation of proposals for small to medium-sized projects in collaboration with senior engineers, promoting teamwork and business development
โข ย ย Uphold P2S standards for documentation and quality, reinforcing accountability and trust throughout the project lifecycle
Construction Administrationย
โข ย ย Provide timely, thoughtful responses to RFIs, maintaining a high level of service and client satisfaction throughout construction
โข ย ย Review submittals with a detail-oriented and quality-driven mindset to ensure engineering intent and code compliance
โข ย ย Foster collaboration and trust with contractors and field teams by being accessible, clear, and solution-oriented during construction phases
โข ย ย Participate in punch walks and prepare punch list reports with a focus on delivering excellence and functional completeness
โข ย ย Uphold accountability and integrity by ensuring that final systems reflect design intent and contribute to long-term client success
โข ย ย Serve as a technical advocate for the client during construction, proactively addressing challenges to maintain design vision and project momentum
