Job Type: Full-time/ Direct Hire

Compensation: $130,000 - $170,000 Based on Experience + Benefits and growth opportunities!


BBSI has partnered with a well-respected electrical contractor and UL-Certified Panel Shop serving commercial and industrial clients throughout the Pacific Northwest and beyond. Founded in 1960, we specialize in industrial controls, automation systems, data communication infrastructure, and design-build electrical solutions.


Position Summary

We are seeking an experienced Electrical Estimator to prepare accurate and competitive estimates for commercial and industrial electrical projects. This role will collaborate closely with project managers, field teams, vendors, and leadership to support successful project execution and company growth.


Key Responsibilities

  • Review plans, specifications, RFIs, and project documents to determine scope of work.
  • Perform quantity takeoffs and prepare detailed labor, material, equipment, and subcontractor cost estimates.
  • Solicit and evaluate vendor and subcontractor pricing.
  • Prepare bid proposals and supporting documentation.
  • Participate in pre-bid meetings and site visits.
  • Identify value engineering opportunities and cost-saving solutions.
  • Maintain estimating databases and historical cost information.
  • Support project handoff and scope review with operations teams.


Qualifications

  • 5+ years of Electrical Estimating experience in commercial and/or industrial construction.
  • Strong understanding of NEC, electrical systems, and construction practices.
  • Ability to read and interpret electrical drawings and specifications.
  • Experience with estimating software such as Accubid, ConEst, McCormick, Bluebeam, PlanSwift, or Procore.
  • Strong analytical, communication, and organizational skills.


Preferred

  • Journeyman Electrician license or electrical field experience.
  • Design-build and value engineering experience.
  • Experience estimating projects from $50K to $30M+.
